Privacy Policy and Terms of Service

Privacy Policy Last Updated: July 9, 2026

Welcome to the Fair Housing Clinical Network (www.licensedesa.com). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our website, online screening tools, and telehealth referral services.

1. Information We Collect

Because we provide a platform that connects you with independent, state-licensed mental health professionals, we collect several categories of information:

  • Identity & Contact Data: Name, email address, phone number, physical mailing address, and date of birth.
  • Health & Screening Data: Information you provide during your initial online screening questionnaire regarding your emotional or mental health symptoms, everyday functioning, and pet ownership.
  • Technical & Usage Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and how you interact with our website via cookies.

2. Medical Information & Telehealth Disclaimers

Please note that while Licensed ESA provides the platform and technology to connect you with independent, state-licensed mental health clinicians, Licensed ESA is a technology platform, not a medical clinic or healthcare provider.

  • The information you provide on our screening tool is shared securely with the independent clinician assigned to review your case.
  • Once you are paired with a clinician, your interaction with them is governed by their independent clinical standards, state laws, and medical privacy rules.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information strictly to:

  • Facilitate your pairing with an independent state-licensed mental health professional
  • Improve our website functionality and prevent fraudulent behavior.

We never sell, rent, or trade your medical screening responses or personal data to third-party advertisers.

4. Data Retention and Security

We implement industry-standard encryption protocols (SSL/TLS) to secure data in transit and at rest. We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or to comply with legal, accounting, or clinical record-keeping obligations required by state licensing boards.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your state or jurisdiction (such as California), you may have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate data, or request deletion of your information (subject to legal and clinical record-keeping exceptions).

Terms of Service Last Updated: July 9, 2026

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using www.licensedesa.com (the "Site") operated by Fair Housing Clinical Network ("us", "we", or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the service.

1. Description of Services

Fair Housing Clinical Network provides a technology platform that connects users with independent, third-party licensed mental health professionals (LMHPs) who perform clinical evaluations for Emotional Support Animals (ESAs).

2. Not a Medical Provider Disclaimer

Fair Housing Clinical Network does not practice medicine, provide therapy, or issue ESA letters directly. Fair Housing Clinical Network does not collect any fees of any kind.

Any screening or questionnaire completed on this Site is a tool to help determine potential eligibility for a formal clinical evaluation. The final clinical determination, and the decision of whether or not to issue a legally compliant ESA letter, rests solely in the independent professional judgment of the state-licensed clinician.

3. User Representations and Compliance

By using our services, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age.
  • All information you provide in our questionnaires is entirely truthful, accurate, and complete.
  • You understand that misrepresenting a disability or using a fraudulent or fake emotional support animal letter to evade housing policies is a serious legal violation and may carry severe civil or criminal penalties depending on state and federal laws.
  • You will comply with all local laws, including state-specific telehealth requirements (such as California's 30-day established client-provider relationship requirement, where applicable).

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fair Housing Clinical Network, its directors, employees, or partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Site, the denial of an ESA letter by a landlord, or the independent clinical decisions made by the third-party healthcare professionals connected through our platform.

5. Intellectual Property

The Site and its original content, features, and functionality (including the screening questionnaire structure) are and will remain the exclusive property of Fair Housing Clinical Network, and its licensors.

6. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access our Site after modifications become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
